The Womb Room
A quiet, intimate space within Temple of She, created for women and the many seasons we move through.
My work here brings together womb and belly work, traditional practices, bodywork, sound and elements of my shamanic practice.
Some women come during a particular transition. Some are reconnecting with their body after birth, loss or change. Others simply feel drawn to this work.
There is no expectation to heal, release or become anything.
You are met exactly where you are.
The Womb Room Rituals
Tucked within Temple of She, the Womb Room is a sanctuary all of its own.
A warm, quiet space created for the slower work of tending to the womb, body and woman as a whole.
The rituals here bring together womb and belly massage, wrapping, anointing, warmth, sound and stillness. Some are rooted in traditional practices, others have developed through the different strands of my own work.
You may come during a time of change, after birth or loss, through perimenopause or menopause, while reconnecting with your body, or simply because you need somewhere to stop for a while.
You don’t need to arrive with something that needs fixing.
Each treatment is shaped around you and where you are that day.
Womb of the Deep Waters Ritual
A slow, deeply nurturing two hour ritual centred around the womb, belly and the woman as a whole.
We begin at the feet, with the Threshold foot treatment, before moving into the body.
Warm kidney stones, womb and belly massage, meridian work and sound are woven through the treatment, before finishing with traditional womb wrapping and time to simply rest.
There is no set way this treatment has to unfold. I work intuitively, responding to you and your body on the day.
You might come because you feel disconnected from your womb or your body. You might be moving through changes in your cycle, fertility, motherhood, perimenopause, loss or a new chapter in your life.
Or you might just be tired.
You don’t need to arrive with something to heal, fix or release.
Sometimes we simply need somewhere to put everything down and be cared for.
This work is also open to women who no longer have a physical womb. You are absolutely welcome here.
Two hours of warmth, touch, rest and being held.
Womb Wrapping Ceremony
Also known as Closing the Bones
A deeply nurturing whole body ritual using traditional woven cloths to gently rock, wrap and hold the body.
Closing the Bones has its roots in postpartum traditions, where women were cared for and wrapped following pregnancy and birth. Today, this beautiful practice can also mark many of the transitions we move through as women.
You remain fully clothed as the body is gently rocked and wrapped from head to toe. Warmth, sound and stillness are woven through the treatment, finishing with time to rest.
There is something incredibly simple about being wrapped. The gentle pressure creates a feeling of being held and contained, particularly when life has felt anything but.
Women may come following birth, pregnancy loss, surgery, menopause, the ending of a relationship or another significant change in life.
And sometimes there doesn’t need to be a big reason.
You can simply come because you need to be held and cared for.
Open to all women, with or without a physical womb.
Womb Anointing & Yoni Steaming Ritual
A slow, nurturing ritual combining warm oils, gentle touch and herbal steaming.
We begin with anointing of the belly and womb space using warm oils and gentle, intentional touch.
You are then invited to sit over a warm herbal steam, wrapped in blankets and given time to simply be still. Herbs are chosen with care and the whole experience is unhurried, private and deeply nurturing.
This isn’t about fixing the womb or asking the body to do anything.
It is simply time devoted to a part of ourselves that can so easily be forgotten.
Women come to this ritual for all sorts of reasons. During times of change. After a difficult chapter. When reconnecting with their body. Or simply because the ritual itself feels meaningful to them.
You don’t need a particular reason.
The womb anointing can also be received without steaming and is open to women without a physical womb.
Yoni steaming is not suitable during pregnancy and there are other times when I may recommend leaving the steaming element out. We will talk through this before your treatment.
